Pousada Santarina

A lovely place where you're made to feel like family. Simone even offered to let us keep the room all day, so we could explore the island and shower before our evening flight.

We really enjoyed breakfast, and the monkeys that came by each morning were fun to watch. Miguel was a fantastic host, spoke perfect English, and gave us great tips on things to do around the island. The pousada itself is beautifully decorated, with clean, spacious rooms and secure parking, which worked well for us. One of the best places we've stayed on our South America travels. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florianópolis.

Tiny monkeys that look like cartoon characters sometimes appear outside the room window, which is a pretty great bonus. The breakfast was the best, the staff were super friendly, and every detail seemed to have been considered. By far the best place we've stayed on the island. It shows that amazing service is possible at the same price if people really try.

The owner is kind and great to talk with, and that extra personal touch is what I always hope for in a place to stay. Breakfast in the inviting garden was excellent, too. The rooms were immaculate, stylish, spacious, with a comfortable bed and a good hot shower. It felt great to arrive somewhere so well kept. Highly recommended.
