Waterway

I stayed at Waterway in January 2020 and was really satisfied. It's great value for anyone wanting to explore Florianópolis. The location is handy, near Barra da Lagoa and the beach, and roughly between the north and south of Floripa, which makes it useful for visiting lots of places around Florianópolis. The rooms are really small apartments, with a bedroom, kitchen, balcony, and bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped, the room has air conditioning, and the shower is good. Everything was impeccably clean, and the hosts are super friendly. Just keep in mind that breakfast and room service aren't offered.

We spent a week here, and Juliana, the owner, was wonderful. When we had car trouble, she responded right away and pointed us to a place to buy a replacement part. She was so kind and friendly, just what you hope for on vacation. Highly recommended.

The place is quiet, clean, and organized, and Juliana gave us a lovely welcome. The pousada is enclosed and has an electronic gate for guests' security. We'll definitely be back!

This place is a disgrace. I booked a two-bedroom apartment through Booking, but when I arrived they had a one-bedroom unit for me. On the first night, the bedroom and living room smelled of urine and feces. There was a cockroach in the room on the second night, then another on the fourth. I had booked eight nights, but left the next morning. She said on Booking that I hadn't checked in, so I couldn't leave a rating. I have the chats with her and photos of the cockroaches. Disgusting place.
