I had a really good hostel stay here! The staff were so nice to me, especially Aelia, who welcomed me so warmly. I'd come back to Fortaleza and stay here again.

The one real plus is the low price. Still, the place left a bad impression, and I'm not usually fussy. The employees weren't friendly and acted as if helping was a favor. There was no hot water in the shower. They ask you to make your own bed, and in the shared rooms the bunk beds are extremely close, with only about 30 cm between them.

There were bugs on the bed, and the Wi-Fi only worked about half the time. This was the first hostel I've seen charge you to stay past checkout, even for just a little while.

The common areas are really nice, and Aelia at reception was friendly and helpful.

I've been staying here for years, since 2012, and my experience has always been great. I've had good contact with the owner and employees, and the basic breakfast is included. The atmosphere is lovely, the location is great, and there's still a small pool. There are secure safes and lockers, plenty of places to charge your phone, and day use is possible. Some of the negative reviews may have a point depending on how and who you deal with. Just remember it's a hostel.
