The menu has lots of options, and the room was comfortable and clean enough. The shower and AC both worked, and after a few hiccups they moved us to another room and things worked out. I’d suggest going with someone you already know well since unexpected issues can come up. The thing I really didn’t like was the price.

It was really embarrassing to be singled out when I arrived on my motorcycle. The attendant said motorcycles could only enter if paid for in advance, while cars go in normally and settle the bill at the end. I asked where that rule was posted, but there was no notice anywhere. The romantic mood was already gone, and asking for my consumer right to a fiscal receipt made things worse. The attendant said they couldn’t provide one because the printer was out of ink. That’s a joke at the customer’s expense. They should show respect and not judge people by their appearance. I hope the inspection authorities look into these irregularities. I hope nobody else has to go through the embarrassment I did at ARTE MOTEL DO CAMBEBA.

The only thing that worked well was the hot tub. There wasn’t anywhere to hang our clothes, and they put me in a different room from the one I requested. But the food was what really got to me. It was a tiny supermarket style meal, wilted and like hospital food. I honestly wondered if it was a prank, because the ad made it look like a proper lunch. I doubt they paid more than 10 reais for it, then they resell it for an absurd price. They didn’t even have plates to serve us. Terrible management, it felt like a corner store.

The staff were so attentive and helpful, and the place was clean, comfortable, and well located. We paid a fair price for a day stay. Our one issue was the poor soundproofing in room 2. We were near the kitchen and could hear appliances and people talking. One useful detail: the 24 hours start at check-in. We arrived at 5 p.m., so we could leave at 5 the next day. :)
