I wouldn’t recommend staying here. When I arrived, my room was occupied, and there was nobody available to welcome guests. The schedules for guests seem poorly organized. On my last day, I had to leave two hours early because another guest arrived and knocked on my door, saying they had booked the room. Hotel staff did nothing to sort it out or apologize for the embarrassment. The only person there is an older woman who makes breakfast. Beyond that, you’re left to figure things out yourself and put up with these awkward situations. If you want a good place without stress, I’d pay more and look for another hotel. 🤝

From late 2021 through 2023, this place felt like my home in Fortaleza. It was simply perfect, and having someone at reception all day made it feel even more welcoming. Things changed from 2023 on, and I decided not to return. There’s no receptionist at night, and guests use a code to get through the electronic door. That made me uneasy, especially since it seemed the code didn’t change, so anyone who had stayed there before could know it and enter without a reservation. And if another guest made noise at night, there was nobody to complain to. It used to be really good, but my opinion has gone downhill. I think there are better, cheaper options.

The place was wonderful and very clean, but my stay was disrupted by a problem with the hours, which I believe should have been clearly explained under Brazilian law. I intended to book a 24-hour stay in Fortaleza, as I understood was common elsewhere in the country. I arrived at 18:20 on 12/06/24, left at 21:00 for work, and came back at 15:00 the next day. Only then was I told I had to leave because my stay was over. Nobody had explained this beforehand on WhatsApp, where I made the reservation. The checkout time had never been specified before I paid, so I had assumed the stay lasted 24 hours. I called the property manager, who was very rude and showed no understanding, either personally or legally. Brazilian law, including Law No. 11.771/2008 on national tourism policy, requires lodging businesses to clearly explain conditions such as check-in and checkout times, and says consumers are entitled to clear information about what they book. The lack of transparency and what I see as a failure to comply with the law spoiled my experience. Proper communication could have prevented this. I hope they take this feedback seriously so future guests don’t face the same situation. Otherwise, I may pursue the available legal measures to ensure the law is followed. Sincerely, [I.D]
