A really cool spot by the sea.

The owners are very welcoming, and breakfast is spectacular. Jangadas do Pontal is a simple, charming inn close to the beach, though a little way from Pontal town. You can walk there along the beach or rent a buggy to get around. I’d choose an upstairs room: opening the blinds lets in the sea breeze, so you can sleep without air conditioning. There’s also a small refrigerator in every room, handy for keeping drinks cold. Definitely recommend it.

The upstairs deck has a lovely sea view, and breakfast was perfect. The owner of the inn is so friendly. I highly recommend it.

We had wonderful hospitality and the best value in Pontal. At Praia das Agulhas, natural pools form around sunset, making the end of the day just perfect.
