Garopaba Cidade Baixa Hostel

I stayed for 10 days, and only left because my vacation ran out. The hostel matched what I’d seen in the photos and is close to nearly everything. Cash machines are a little farther away, inside a hypermarket, but you can walk there. Some bank customers can withdraw at the nearby Banrisul, though that doesn’t work for Itaú customers. There’s also a huge BB branch just a few meters away. It has a homely feel, and the staff are kind and do their best to make your stay what you want. The owners are always asking guests for feedback. There are plenty of outlets, lockers, powerful fans, stoves, and fridges. Breakfast is simple but nice. The sheets are clean and smell fresh, and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day. You can rent padlocks and bath towels. There’s no laundry service, but there is a wash tub and washing machine. The hostel still doesn’t have a card machine. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

There’s so much history to take in here, and beautiful sights to photograph. Plenty of peaceful beaches, scenic views, and trails make it a lovely place to explore slowly, paying attention to every little corner. I recommend it.

We stayed at Garopaba Cidade Baixa Hostel from the 24th to the 25th of October, and the welcome was great. Everyone in our group was treated so well that we felt at home. A 10 out of 10.

The owners are great hosts, and everyone was friendly. The place felt welcoming, was well organized, and the hygiene was spot on. I really liked it.
