Hotel Cabanas Glamour

We had a great experience for the price. Breakfast was excellent and very affordable. I stayed in one of the smaller cabins, though the bed had a dip in the middle and the air conditioning didn't work very well. Still, I can't really complain about the AC when I wanted a forest experience. Everything else was perfect. Honey greeted us whenever we arrived and became our little companion.

The room was decent and breakfast was simple but tasty. The main issue is that the daily rate feels far too high for what's offered. At breakfast, things that ran out weren't replenished often, and tables were left dirty after guests left. We had to sit at a table with another guest's dirty dishes still on it. The hotel is far from everything, so even a small errand means driving to the center. We chose it for a quiet break away from the bustle, but ended up having to leave the hotel several times anyway. For that price, you can find a more convenient hotel in town.

The breakfast setup was a serious disappointment. It's pet friendly, but there didn't seem to be any order in the dining room. Dogs shook themselves beside the tables, and some owners held them before handling shared utensils without washing their hands. The hygiene experience was awful, so we decided to eat somewhere along the road instead. The room itself is quite basic, although the whirlpool tub is nice. But it's directly in front of a glass window facing the yard, with no privacy at all. You'd have to use it clothed or wait until dark, after the other guests have gone inside. Other chalets in the area offer more privacy; this one doesn't.

Tião gets the extra star from me. What a sweet little dog, I wanted to take him home! There's also Guri, a pony who'll eat bread from your hand and enjoys being petted. The breakfast was wonderful too, especially the best aipim cake and lemon tart I've ever had. I have strong allergies and usually struggle with musty smells, but the place was spotless and fresh smelling, with really nice linens. It felt so cozy that we skipped a few outings just to relax. Everyone was lovely and did their best to make us comfortable. I'm already missing it and hope to come back.
