We were 13 people sharing four rooms, and the stay fell short in a lot of ways. There weren’t any towels for the pool, so we had to walk back to our rooms wet. The rooms also needed basic repairs: the bathroom sink leaked, a door wouldn’t close, and the shower had weak flow and didn’t heat properly. The pool was dirty and had broken tiles. Food was simple with little variety, and when dessert was available it was served lukewarm or too warm. There’s almost nothing for recreation, especially for kids. André, the hotel’s recreation worker, still did his best to keep guests entertained with warmth and effort despite having very few activities. We were also taken out of a volleyball game to make room for people who weren’t staying at the hotel. Service was inconsistent in other ways too. Housekeeping woke us at 7:30 by knocking, with no need or prior notice. Some guests were allowed to have orange juice, while others were told it would only be available at noon. The restaurant gave no information about food for people with dietary restrictions, such as lactose-free or gluten-free options, which matters for basic health and food safety. One employee also refused to walk between two guests who were talking, saying she didn’t want to “absorb bad energy.” That felt completely unprofessional. The stay was seriously affected by poor upkeep, uneven service, and a lack of organization. The hotel should provide pool towels, fix leaks, doors, and showers, keep the pool clean and in good repair, and put proper activities in place, especially for children. Clotheslines in the apartments would also help guests dry their swimwear.

My experience at Termas Park Hotel in Gravatal was really frustrating. Back in September 2025, I had to cancel my reservation because I was pregnant and feeling unwell on the day we were due to travel. The hotel didn’t refund me, it only moved the stay to a new date. When we went on that new date, we were put on the 3rd floor. The elevator was out of order, they told us, which was especially hard with a baby stroller. Our room faced the recreation area, where loud music carried on past 22h and made it impossible to rest. The next day the hotel lost power. The hallways were dark, and even the emergency lights weren’t working, creating a real risk of falling on the stairs in the dark. At checkout, we told the manager about all of this. He seemed unconcerned and made no effort to improve our comfort or offer a solution. We expected better facilities, safety, and care for guests, especially while travelling with a baby. I’m sharing what happened so other guests know.
