Pousada Da Enseada

The location was good, close to everything, and honestly it was the saving grace. Two of the staff were friendly and attentive, but the rest looked annoyed and wouldn't even return a good morning. The inn itself was awful and basic, with smelly rooms and mold up to the ceiling. The air conditioning in my room was faulty, and the TV didn't work. I complained twice and nothing changed. The pool was dirty, Wi-Fi didn't work in the rooms, the bedding smelled bad, and the bathroom looked dirty too. The photos posted online give a false impression.

The breakfast was the least bad part, but even with the low price, this place isn't worth it. My room was at the back of the inn and hard to reach, and it smelled of mold. The outlets were all loose and dangerous, and the minibar was rusty. The bathroom was tiny and smelly, with no curtain or shower screen, so the whole floor got wet. The towels and sheets smelled bad, and there wasn't a mat in either the room or bathroom. Service was quite indifferent, and Wi-Fi only worked in the dining area. Don't trust the photos, they're old and out of date. Parking is on the street behind the inn, not on the property, and it's hard to get to. The area felt strange, the road was in terrible shape with holes and stones, there were trash containers around, and it's nowhere near the beach.

The only good thing was the friendly service. Breakfast was terrible, with bread and mortadella every day, and when I asked for scrambled eggs they turned up their noses. My wife and I were put in a room that smelled awful, and the door had a rotten hole in it. The loose electrical outlets felt dangerous. The bathrooms have no shower screens, so they turn into puddles. Don't be fooled by the photos. The parking isn't on site, and when I went to leave the car, I had to step over trash from a dumpster in front of the inn. The place felt strange. At this price, it wasn't worth it.

The place is simple and family-run. The street isn't the best, but I don't think it's unsafe, and I've stayed here before and left my car right out front. The service is very good, and Lamis is great! Breakfast was tasty too, with fresh French rolls, good cookies, cold cuts, and really good black coffee.
