It was okay.

My review is based on what we actually experienced, not bad faith. We chose the place based on the listing and the reviews available when we booked, and I described both the good and bad parts of our stay. The pool and the service in the outdoor areas were positives, but the overall experience did not match what we expected from the listing and reviews, unfortunately. We stayed just one night. The room had four beds, and the mattresses were worn and sank easily. One was so thin you could feel the wood underneath, which made it very uncomfortable. Recent reviews praised the rooms, but I think this one needs attention. Maybe we were unlucky. There were also steps inside the room on the way to the bathroom and kitchen. We all tripped a few times, so some warning signs would be important, especially for older guests or anyone with limited mobility. Breakfast was basic. There was margarine but no butter, the scrambled eggs were very salty, and the cakes were dry. Some adjustments would help, even though I never disputed the variety the property mentioned in its reply. I was describing what was served that day, and that can vary. The listing called it a hotel, which is what led us to choose it, but the place felt much more like a simple inn. I understand the tax classification the property cited, but what guests experience is what shapes their impression, and that affects whether they decide to book. The very thin mattress and other signs of wear were uncomfortable regardless of the property's tax category or tax burden. Mentioning the C33 model's weight limit doesn't change how uncomfortable one mattress was. I also found it inappropriate to accuse guests of bad faith for pointing out things that could be improved. Feedback can help guide operational changes. Responding to criticism as a personal attack doesn't help the conversation or the business's reputation. Guests should be able to describe what they found without being dismissed.

The staff were helpful, and the place has a lot of potential, but it needs several improvements. Go expecting a simple inn and that part is fine, except for the price. I stayed in a room with four beds. All the mattresses were poor: two were extremely thin and soft, one was a little thicker but just as soft, and the last was simply very soft. The towels had stains. The room had been “renovated” to add a bathroom, but the tiles don't go together and the finish is rough. The bathroom was moldy, and the fridge door needs a new seal. Breakfast was very simple, with just two fruit options. The scrambled eggs were extremely salty, the watermelon was overripe, and the papaya was bad.

We loved our stay! Even in the simplest room, we had a TV, though I'd have liked a slightly bigger one, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Room service was excellent, everything was left clean and organized for us. I'd recommend it, and we'll definitely come back.
