TRYP by Wyndham São Paulo Guarulhos Airport (Transit Hotel)

The lounge wasn’t overcrowded, which was a plus. Its buffet isn’t huge, but the quality was pretty good overall, and better than many standalone lounges that aren’t part of a hotel. There was enough for a decent meal, not just snacks, and having access to a smoking area was a nice extra. The meat and fish were overcooked, as you’d expect when food is kept warm for a long time, but it wasn’t a big deal. I tend to disagree with the negative reviews.

We booked for convenience, and the booking said it was non-refundable. But the hotel is inside the terminal, past customs, so after landing in Sao Paulo you can’t get back to it. It only works if you have no checked luggage or are passing through without exiting.

The staff were a highlight from check-in through the rest of the stay. Everyone was welcoming and professional, and made things feel easy. That care showed in the small details too. After a long day of travel, I could unwind with a cold, well-made drink from the bar, served promptly. Breakfast was excellent as well, fresh and well organized, with plenty of options whether you want something light or a fuller meal. I travel often and usually stay near airports out of necessity, so TRYP by Wyndham São Paulo – Guarulhos Airport was a pleasant surprise. The location is very convenient after an international flight or before an early departure. Even so close to Guarulhos Airport, the hotel felt calm and well insulated, and I wasn’t disturbed by noise. My room was clean, modern, and thoughtfully arranged, with a comfortable bed that let me sleep properly. Everything worked as it should, the temperature was easy to control, and the space felt relaxing, not just functional for a transit stop. The breakfast quality was noticeably better than I’d expect from a typical airport hotel. TRYP by Wyndham Guarulhos balances convenience, comfort, and good service well. It didn’t feel rushed or impersonal. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone traveling through São Paulo, whether for a short layover, a late arrival, or an early flight. It made my trip smoother and more comfortable.

We were grateful that Dragonpass added this lounge at GRU terminal 3, since it was the only one that would take us after Latam and W were full. We spent about 45 minutes there before boarding. The food was okay, with salads, starters, juice, fruit, pasta, and some meats. You can get water by asking the attendant.
