We had a beautiful honeymoon stay here. It’s just far enough from the busier town, and the location worked perfectly for us. Everyone on staff was kind, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was great, and we also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. I’d highly recommend this place on Ihla Grande.

It felt like paradise. The owner and staff were lovely, the service was excellent, and we really enjoyed breakfast. We came for our honeymoon, but I’d happily return whenever I get the chance.

Casa da Ilha made for such an easy, enjoyable stay. They picked us up by boat in Abraão when we arrived, and there were kayaks, snacks, and help arranging boat tours. Breakfasts were amazing too. I stayed three nights with a friend 1,5 year ago and was struck by how beautiful the rooms and shared spaces were, as well as the service. I’ve just booked another stay for April this year and I’m so excited 🫶🏼

The staff were some of the kindest people I’ve dealt with in a long time, and the place itself is clean and beautiful. There’s a lovely breakfast area by the sea, plus canoe and kayak equipment, a game room, and air conditioning. It had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It’s a pousada rather than a 5-star hotel, but I’d pick it over a hotel any day. The location was excellent for me, though it’s a 5’ walk to the main populated area, which some people may find awkward. I’d definitely come back.

The staff are a real credit to this lovely spot, and the food on site is good. The boat pickup from the main pier was faultless. Getting into town takes 15 minutes on foot, and you’ll probably get your feet wet, so bring a torch. Anyone with mobility issues might be better off elsewhere. It’s a slice of loveliness in paradise, though more like a 2 star resort. We were in room 9, and the bathroom was a nightmare: no hot water at the sink, a shower that was hard to get right, and some interesting wiring. I’d happily stay again, perhaps with waterproof electrical tape for the shower.
