Yellow Guest House

A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! We booked Yellow House for 8 nights, but on day 5 the manager told us the owners' schedule had a mistake. The whole house had been rented to a large group for our final 3 nights, so they planned to move us somewhere supposedly with the same amenities. It was across town, up a 400-meter road on a hill. Inside, there was only a small mini-fridge instead of a refrigerator, and it couldn't fit all the food we had brought from Yellow House. Worst of all, there was no stove. We told the manager we needed one because we'd planned meals with the food we had, but he said he didn't know what to do, that we couldn't return to Yellow House, and that the owner would contact us. The owner messaged me on WhatsApp a few minutes later, apologized, and said that was all he could offer. When I complained about the kitchen, he told me to eat at the restaurants because they were very nice. I said I couldn't afford eating out every day, and he replied, "That's tourism." He offered no solution until 11 PM, when I finally said I was going back to Yellow House to settle there because I needed dinner. He threatened to call the police if I went. After a long argument and demanding a refund so we could find another place, I managed to get a friend of his to let us use the kitchen for one night. It was across town, and we waited 30 minutes for this "friend" because he wasn't home. Once inside, we were told the oven didn't work and we could only use the stovetop. We had to eat out for all the rest of our meals and spent much more than planned. Don't book with Yellow House, they are scammers and have other properties on the island too. The owners, Alex and Aretha, never took responsibility and laughed at our situation. No one else should rent from these awful people!
