Pousada Villa dos Sonhos

Top.

We went for our honeymoon in June 2025. The reception staff were lovely and attentive, and breakfast tasted good. Since it was low season, they first gave us a menu to choose from; on the third day there was a generous buffet with plenty of variety. The bed was comfortable and the TV worked well, though it sometimes froze. Cell service was unavailable and the Wi-Fi was weak. Our bathroom was a bit dirty and not very large. We didn’t get room service during our stay, though we neither asked for it nor were asked about it. The common areas are nicely decorated, and we had dinner at the Pousada one night with the chef. The food was very good. The hotel is on a highway, about 10 minutes from the center, and there’s no parking. The road is dirt, and after rain it had big puddles and mud.

It was a horrible experience. The afternoon receptionist was rude and ill-mannered, and seemed uninterested in fixing anything. The internet and TV didn’t work, and then the air conditioner started dripping onto the bed. The chef and the food are what made the Pousada’s poor service bearable.

Great place and really high-quality breakfast. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but everything else was perfect.
