The view was a highlight, and my boyfriend and I loved our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well organized, with everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of tasty options, and the welcome was always warm and attentive. One small thing: bath salts could be included instead of charged separately. I'd especially recommend the yellow chalet for its incredible view. We hope to come back.

We stayed in the orange room, which was clean and had everything working. The bed was very comfortable, and the whirlpool tub was wonderful. The listing photos were accurate. Mônica, the owner, and her whole family made us feel so welcome and took care of every request. Breakfast was delicious, generous, and clearly prepared with a lot of care. We haven't felt this welcomed at an inn in a long time, and we wanted to stay for a month. I can't think of anything we disliked. Some parts, like the veranda, bathrooms, and shared areas, could use a little renovation and maintenance, but that didn't affect our stay. We'll be back and recommend it.

I came back feeling lighter, more hopeful about people, and closer to myself and nature. I hadn't wanted a July holiday for years, with school breaks, crowds, and high prices, but things outside my control meant I had to take time off then. I had plenty of ideas, but what I really wanted was to disconnect: no outings, plans, or tourist checklists, just quiet, nature, and peace. That's what I found. The chalet was beautiful and full of character, with care in every little detail. More than that, Mônica, her husband, and their family welcomed me like someone they'd known for years. I felt at home, surrounded by affection and being looked after. It was a rare kind of comfort, like an invisible hug telling me I was where I needed to be. The little bolinho de chuva at breakfast brought back so many memories. It took me back to childhood and that lightness we sometimes lose without noticing. The noise of the world, work, and problems was still out there, but none of it broke the peace I felt there. Recommending this place feels like sharing a bit of what it means to be cared for and welcomed with love. You were wonderful. Visconde de Mauá has found its owners, and they're you! The owners made us feel like family, which was something special. The owner’s husband was great too, and one evening a friend of his came by and they played guitar. That was a lot of fun. They also had coffee and cake for guests throughout the day, and they operate a wood-fired pizza place. The inn is simple and rustic, but sensational. The breakfast was out of this world, and the views from every room were beautiful. We stayed in the red room, which I'd rate a 10, though it is rustic. Our friends had the yellow room, which I thought was even nicer, so that's a tip.
