Maybe this place is amazing in summer and during daylight, but arriving at night in winter and leaving first thing in the morning made for a really disappointing stay. There were no lights, so I had to walk a long way to my room using my phone as a torch. The room was freezing, and hot water took 30 minutes to come through, if it came at all. There was no breakfast at 6am, so my 120usd felt like money gone for nothing.

The first room they offered us was an incredibly tiny cubicle. We objected angrily and said we'd ask for our reservation money back and leave. After talking it over with the manager, we were given a good apartment.

The tropical setting is really beautiful, but January was too hot for me. The swimming pool has no shade.
