The food wasn’t worth the price, and there are nicer, cheaper places to eat nearby. Service at the restaurant was slow, and they forgot my coffee. The Caesar salad was much too sour, with just four tiny pieces of dry grilled chicken. You can’t even pay to add more chicken. The burger was just ordinary, not something I’d order again.

The pools are lovely, though they’re not always completely clean. Today there was yellow scum floating in one. The accommodation is adequate, but service is very slow, and the restaurant only serves one meal instead of two. Breakfast is average, not something I’d go out for. I’m not sure I’d want to stay more than a few days.

I won’t stay at this resort again. Compared with places I’ve stayed around the world, this was one of my worst experiences. The sales staff kept approaching us several times a day and made the whole stay stressful. We felt almost forced to book an appointment, even though we said we weren’t sure we could make the scheduled time. The next day, they came back and were unhappy that we’d missed it. We’re on vacation, not there to follow a schedule for pushy, desperate salespeople. We’re paying to stay there and shouldn’t have been made to feel uncomfortable.

This is an amazing, wooded place with good service and hygiene. I spent the eight best days of my life here and highly recommend it.

For a vacation in Salinas, this is a great place to stay. Fly to Belem (SBBE/BEL), then rent a car for the three-hour drive to this gorgeous beach.
