The shower worked well and the minibar was fine, but there were plenty of problems. The bathroom smelled like sewer coming back up through the drain, and the air conditioner casing was yellowed, which made me wonder how clean it was. The furniture looked very old, and the TV was basically useless, with only church channels. They didn’t make the bed on the first day; I slept there the second night and checked out the next day, so I’m not sure whether housekeeping had to be requested. Breakfast was really sparse and basic. You can find better for the price. Photos are misleading. I don’t recommend it.

The breakfast was the one bright spot, and the people serving it were polite. Everything else made for a poor stay. The receptionists seemed untrained and spoke to guests as if they were neighbors, and they were rude. Early in the morning, the cleaning staff made so much noise while doing the rooms that it was hard to sleep. The cleaning itself wasn’t very thorough either. After a few days, the toilet started turning yellow. It wasn’t worth the price. There are better places in Macaé for the same amount. I don’t recommend it.

The photos online can be misleading. I arrived on 24/9/25 to find the garage flooded, and my room had no TV, though that hadn’t been mentioned when I booked. The Wi-Fi was awful, the curtains were filthy, and breakfast was very poor. I had dinner there the first night, but the grilled chicken was terrible and looked awful. The TV in the restaurant was showing a match through a pirate YouTube channel. I tried to cancel, but the fee was as much as the room nights, and I wasn’t willing to throw away my money. I’ve now moved to the Ibis for the same nightly rate: a new room facing the sea, clean parking, and cheaper, better-quality meals.

Unfortunately, this was a bad stay. The pool was usable only on the first day and was unfit to use after that. Service was very poor, and dinner was way off schedule with none of what had been agreed. Breakfast was horrible too, with no mozzarella and fruit that was well past its best. I wouldn’t recommend it.
