Really great.

It was okay.

The location made getting around easy, and most of the tours offered started practically across the street. We stayed here over the last weekend. It’s a very simple pousada, but the price felt fair for what you get. Breakfast was basic but good, and the staff were pleasant. If you’re picky and want luxury, you may want to stay elsewhere. I love luxury too, but I wanted to spend my time on lots of outings and only needed a place to sleep, so I’d recommend it for that. It’s also a good fit if you’re coming to enjoy nature and do the tours. For cleaning, just ask at reception and they’ll take care of it.

The city is lovely, though meals don’t come in especially generous portions and the prices are high. The location is the main thing this place has going for it, right on the waterfront. The breakfast is basic and repetitive, the staff weren’t friendly, the facilities are old, and the air conditioning seemed unmaintained. The bathroom smelled of urine. The owner gave a discount to a guest staying one day, but not to me. For similar prices, you can find places with sea views, so it may be worth paying a little more. Even a pricier hotel away from the waterfront could be a better deal.
