Hostel Manaus

The breakfast was delicious, and it was great that they could store our bags while we went on an Amazon trip. The staff were very kind, and the rooms had good-quality bedding.

I chose this hostel over local Manaus hostel and regretted it, which is why I keep comparing them. This place was okay, not awful, but it wasn’t very social or lively. People in the main living area usually sat at their computers in silence, and the whole room felt dead. The location is decent, not far from the center, but there were piles of garbage around the hostel. local Manaus hostel has a better location and little or no garbage. The showers were cold, there was no laundry service like at local Manaus hostel, and the rooms had no curtains. The AC stopped early and didn’t start again until late at night. Most of the staff weren’t very friendly, though the night shift guys were actually really nice. I also found a big cockroach in the food and cutlery trays. I wasn’t happy about it, though I can’t really blame the hostel for that.

The hostel is clean, nicely decorated, and has friendly staff. A good place to stay before or after an Amazon trip. See Antonio for your tour. Better restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away, by the Opera.

Very clean, with a nice terrace and a good location. I was frustrated that they wouldn’t explain what I could do on my own or how to book boat tickets independently. They only offered contacts that charged a fee.
