ibis Styles Manaus

The hotel is very central, and the breakfast was great. The standout, though, was the friendly, young, helpful staff. Thanks to them, especially Marcio, who's outstanding and provides customer service with a smile. The building is so poorly soundproofed that light sleepers won't rest well. I paid to hear loud noise around the clock. You can't open the room windows either, so you're stuck with the same air. I wouldn't book again for that reason, even though the staff were always trying to help.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the rooms were and how good the service was. I stayed just one night before heading to the Amazon. There's a little shop for drinks, coffee, and snacks, and the coconut water is worth trying. Reeshell at reception was lovely, genuinely exceptional, and very helpful.

The neighborhood felt old and somewhat rundown, and the restaurant wasn't up to American standards. In the room, though, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioner, shower, and toilet all worked well. It was clean.

The building is modern and up to standard, with a gym, meeting room, outdoor patio, and three elevators. Rooms are spacious and come with a hair dryer, shampoo, and other basics, though the bathrooms are a bit small, which seems normal in Brazil. The staff are helpful and answer questions satisfactorily, but generally aren't very customer-friendly. They seem tense and not relaxed from the look on their faces.
