Pousada Tulum

The staff were very attentive, and the place feels cozy. It's close enough to walk to praia três coqueiros, though that beach isn't great for children. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom is on the small side but works well; the water has a somewhat strong smell, which I think is typical of the area. Breakfast was tasty and served in good portions.

A lovely, well-kept pousada near praia de bombaça. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so you'll need transport to get to the town center. Barra Grande feels very safe, though, and we walked there from the pousada in about 20-25min. If you're staying there, I recommend asking Aline da Penísula Tour about renting a quad bike to get around more easily, both to the beaches and into town at night. For anyone coming by car, it's a great option and good value. Breakfast doesn't have a lot of choices. Usually there was one kind of juice, strong and weak coffee, scrambled eggs made to order, cake, bread, and similar things. The selection is small, but everything made on site is extremely tasty.

The staff gave us a wonderful welcome, but the apartment itself needs work. The bathroom was much too small and uncomfortable, and there weren't many kitchen utensils. Most of the pans were large. I'd suggest improving the apartment's cleanliness.

At night, I could just relax on the balcony and listen to the waves. The place is tidy and air-conditioned, and it’s really close to Praia dos Três Coqueiros. Breakfast is simple but tasty, and the price is good. Getting to the village with its bars takes a car or a bit of walking, depending on what you’re looking for.
