A top-notch inn!!!

I felt misled by the photos, and the 500 reais per night just wasn’t worth it. The room was inside the games room area and no more than 10 square meters, with a tiny bathroom. The window glass was sealed, and the shower control was loose and nearly fell on my wife’s foot. There was a wardrobe in the room, but it couldn’t be opened. The bed faced the window, which had no blackout curtain, so we had to wake up with the bright light coming in. I shared my concerns with the employee on the first day and expected the owner to contact me and offer another room, but that never happened. I felt like I was sleeping in a doghouse.

The only thing that bothered me was breakfast: there were so many tiny flies on the food, they really need to put out some table fans to keep them away. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant, family-style inn, fairly close to the central attractions. The beds and showers were good, the linens and towels were clean and in great shape, and the staff were very helpful and attentive.

This inn needs a lot of maintenance, and the price we paid was high for somewhere without basic comfort. There wasn’t even a shelf for shampoo and soap in the shower. Our room had no view at all, just a wall almost against the window. The old windows wouldn’t close properly, leaving gaps that let mosquitoes in. The walls were damp and the furniture was old. Strangely, we were the only guests even though it was high season in January. I don’t recommend it.
