It’s handy for walking around the centre, with restaurants and bars close by. But on Friday, the bars right next to the hotel made it VERY noisy late into the night. The bed was a super king made by pushing two beds together, which I never like.

Good location, but everything else was standard. Breakfast was simple, even boring.

The steep stairs up to the rooms made getting there genuinely difficult. I had a heavy backpack and struggled to climb, even dropping some of my things on the stairs. There’s no help with luggage, which makes this especially limiting for older guests or people with health conditions. The breakfast was neatly presented and the view was very pleasant, but the cakes were visibly old and extremely dry, almost impossible to eat. I was the only guest that day, but that doesn’t excuse serving food of such poor quality. Something simple and fresh would have made a big difference. There’s a lot to like here: it’s beautiful, very clean, well maintained, and cozy, with an excellent location and attentive service. The breakfast was generally well organized too. It has a great setup and potential, but these practical problems need fixing for the experience to be consistent.

We spent the weekend with the family. The staff were great and attentive, and breakfast was good. I’m not sure it’s a good place to bring children, though. The pool is nice but deep, and with several adults around it, it wasn’t possible to stay there with a child. All the rooms also face the pool, which I found strange. Some beds smelled musty, and ants were wandering over the clothes in the bathroom. I might come back with more family, outside a holiday period, if the price isn’t high.
