Pousada Geraes

The room was tidy and clean, and the pillow and mattress were comfortable. Some rooms, including mine, have a spectacular mountain view, and the place is quiet, great if you're after peace and quiet. The owner is attentive and offers tips and directions. My room had a small table and chair, a minibar, a wardrobe with hangers, and a smart TV with Netflix access. There's a restaurant, a large supermarket, and a bus stop nearby. The pousada is about 2 km from the center. You can walk there if you're up for it, or take the bus, which I recommend. In April/2026 it cost just R$ 2,00 and took about 10 minutes to reach Praça Tiradentes. The surrounding area is very calm for walking. It's busy during the day and deserted at night, but still felt safe. It's a small pousada, so breakfast is simple, but very tasty.

The view from room 05 is great, and Atílio made us feel completely comfortable. The pousada was clean and organized, with a really good breakfast. I felt at home, and this was one of the best experiences I've had. I can't think of a single downside. You can come for a vacation without worrying or regretting it. Ouro Preto is so beautiful.

The room felt cozy, and the bed and bath linens were clean. Breakfast was good, and the price made the stay well worth it. They even prepared our room to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary. Take a look at the photos.

Sr Atílio was very kind, and there was fruit available whenever we wanted. They also had coffee in the afternoon, which was nice for coffee lovers. The pousada has a rustic feel, and everything was clean and organized. Breakfast didn’t offer much variety, but what they served was delicious.
