Pousada Zacarias

This simple, cozy inn was a great choice for our trip with the kids. We were focused on Ouro Preto and visiting the park das andorinhas with them, and the inn is in a district where we could all get some wonderful rest. There’s plenty nearby in town, including a pizzeria, supermarket, bakery, and more. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the peanut cookie won everyone over. It had that feeling of being at my grandmother’s house, with everyone together chatting. The shower was nice and warm, and the kids loved the bunk bed. Ana Paula is a sweetheart. My husband and kids loved the inn too. We miss it already and want to come back.

A few things could be better: the price could be lower for this location, and breakfast could be a bit more generous. More communication and staff presence would also help guests feel more comfortable.

We felt right at home here, and it was a lovely place to rest. The owner was very attentive, and the bed and bath linens were clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast had a really nice homemade touch. We’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended, well worth a visit.

A peaceful little pousada, with spotless rooms and a nice hot shower. Breakfast was delicious, and Ana Paula is such a sweet person. The price felt fair, too.
