Eugenia was the one bright spot. She was patient and did everything she could to help us, even though the power cuts at the guesthouse were outside her expertise. The power went out several times during our stay, and the electricity issue seemed to affect only the property. The guesthouse itself is pretty and the room was large, but for what we paid, we could have stayed somewhere with better facilities. We planned a fun vacation and ended up dealing with a lot of hassle. Breakfast was just average, with too few choices and things not being replenished. When we asked for more of something, it was almost never available. We also weren't given fresh towels, and there were no dry ones when we asked. Our pet was left without the towel the guesthouse said it provided for pets, and developed dermatitis after staying wet.

The guesthouse is beautiful, but the way the people in charge treated us did not match its appearance or its name, which means Respect. When we arrived with our family, the air conditioning was clearly not working, and we reported it right away. The person responsible said we had to pay the remaining 50% for our three days before they would offer a solution. They then mentioned another room, but I asked to check its air conditioning first, and that unit wasn't working either. They said they would not refund us despite the problem, even during a heatwave with temperatures above 38° and with a baby in our group. We felt they cared only about the money, with no respect or consideration. After we suggested calling the police and filing a report over the consumer protection rules, they returned our money. We had to find another guesthouse, where we were welcomed very well. I do NOT recommend this place.

The air conditioning didn't work, and the heat index was 40 degrees. We had already paid a 50% deposit, which was well above the price of local guesthouses, but they still demanded full payment even though we couldn't stay in the accommodation. The guesthouse requires full advance payment and says it won't refund anything, especially on holidays. If we'd paid everything up front, we might have been stuck in an unacceptable situation with a baby. After a six-hour drive, we had to look for somewhere else to stay, and eventually got back the amount we'd paid.
