Pousada Acquarela Paraty

The little monkeys and birds kept us company at breakfast, which was served right outside our room. It was such a lovely way to start the day, and the thoughtful details made the stay feel special. On one morning, I asked whether they had yogurt and was told they didn't. The next day, to my surprise, there it was on our table. I spent five days in Paraty in April and had a really lovely stay at Pousada Aquarela. It was very close to the historic center. My room was comfortable, with a very spacious bathroom. Mariano was attentive and kind, and the women serving breakfast were polite and helpful. I'd gladly return and recommend the pousada.

Mariano, the pousada's manager, was so warm and helpful, and gave us plenty of tips about the city. We loved every moment and hope to return when we can. We stayed four days and couldn't have chosen better. It's well located, near both the historic center and the bus station. The pool was very well cared for, and there was a movie room for rainy days, complete with a popcorn maker. You can also rent bikes. Breakfast is served individually, which we really liked, with plenty of fresh bread, cakes, jams, and fruit. Our room was great, very clean and tidy, with air conditioning and a TV.

My 84-year-old mother-in-law felt like she was in paradise during her 15-day stay. Mariano even set up the news on her TV, which says so much about how attentive everyone was. Finding him felt like a stroke of luck, the kind that solves everything. Acquarela has a lovely atmosphere, spotless rooms, and very kind, thoughtful people. It's close to the Historic Center, and the price is good for the services offered. Thank you, Acquarela!

We parked our car and walked everywhere. Pousada Acquarela is practically in the center, with amenities close by. The rooms were meticulously clean, and the mattresses were very good. Mariano and his staff were attentive and quick to help with every request, so we felt right at home. Breakfast was thoughtful too, and they could cater for dietary intolerances when asked. One of our daughters is lactose-free. We highly recommend it, and it will be our favorite place in the center of Paraty.
