The staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty, even though there wasn't a big selection. The inn is charming and clean, with a lovely view and a clean pool. I was especially glad it was so close to Prainha da Praia Grande. One big drawback: my carrier, Claro, had no signal at all, and the Wi-Fi was genuinely poor in both the rooms and shared areas. I was basically offline, except for a few difficult attempts to get online near reception. As far as I could tell, Vivo may be the only carrier that works, so be prepared. There also aren't many nearby dinner options, and we ended up ordering pizza.

The location was a big plus for me: it's close to Praia Grande, where you can catch boats for outings even though the water isn't good for swimming, and near the trail to my favorite beach in Paraty, Prainha. The staff gave us restaurant and tour tips, and the service was good. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, with lots of fruit, and I loved the Kefir. For the price, it met my needs and I'd stay again. We had three people in a room booked for four, but it had beds for five: a double, a bunk bed, and a single. That made the room feel cluttered. There's also a very large wardrobe taking up floor space, and no outlets near the beds. The room itself was simple but comfortable, with open-channel TV, a fan, air conditioning we didn't use, and a drying rack that was handy for wet clothes. The pool and parking were useful, though the dim interiors gave the place an old-fashioned look. The shower was strong and nice and hot, but the bathroom needed a much better scrub. There was grime stuck to the faucet, shower control, and aluminum shower divider. The basic cleaning of the room was fine, including the floor, bedding, and furniture.
