I've been here before, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean, it's welcoming and quiet, and the value for money is great. It's right across from the bus station, with buses to all the beaches, so there's no need to drive. I'll be back and recommend it to everyone!

I stayed here in September 2025, and I really disliked it. Music and singing from the restaurant next door could be heard through almost the whole inn on weekends, until 1 a.m. We had to switch rooms because noise from the bar next door was audible too. The bathroom was damp, with walls falling apart, which seemed extremely bad for your health. Our room had hair everywhere and dirt in the shower when we arrived, so we had to request another cleaning. During our four nights, they cleaned only once, even though I asked three times, and the cleaner gave me a dirty look. The pillows smelled bad. It's beside the train station, and at night I didn't feel entirely safe. The rating doesn't reflect the reality of this inn at all. It's the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in.

If you still have time, stay away from this place. Our room was filthy and full of ants and cockroaches. The pool was so dirty it couldn't be used, and I'm attaching photos of it. I've never encountered an owner so arrogant. He offered to cancel for free and have us leave instead of fixing the problem. This was during high season, when hotels were full and extremely expensive, and he thought that was a reasonable solution. What a disgrace. There are definitely much better places in Paraty, especially for the price we paid. He ruined our vacation, not so much because of what happened as because of his rudeness. Avoid him.
