Hotel Zurique

Casual.

It’s a simple hotel with a few things that could be better, but it’s pretty good overall. The whole team is super friendly, breakfast is basic but really tasty, and the location is close to everything.

Cockroaches in the room, a very poor breakfast, and a musty smell in the rooms. I don't recommend it.

The bed was a nightmare to use: the toilet was literally underneath the sink, and the shower stall was extremely cramped. The bathroom had a slight urine smell when I arrived, and despite nearly begging for it to be cleaned, it was still the same when I left. My room also wasn't cleaned during my stay. Two dead cockroaches had been in the same spot since I arrived. After two days, I left the bed messy on purpose to see if anyone would make it. A housekeeper, or whatever her role was, had said she'd fix it, but nothing changed. The room phone had a cut cord, maybe so it wouldn't bother reception. I checked in Monday 18/03 and am leaving tomorrow at 12:00 on 21/03. At night, forget about getting a warm shower. Breakfast was reasonable if you asked the kitchen staff to make something, but the food left out wasn't good. Today's toast tasted awful and seemed stale and soggy. The cheese and ham came in thick chunks, as if they'd been sliced with all the hate in the world, not in proper slices. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've had. I absolutely don't recommend it. I have photos, but unfortunately there's no way to post them.
