The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we managed to communicate despite the language barrier. The food was average, edible but nothing special. My room had a nice view of the bus station, but the air conditioner was noisy, the street sounds were very noticeable on the 4th floor, especially at night, and the clogged shower drain was inconvenient. It was an okay stay, though some improvements could make it better.

The bed was great and the room was comfortable, though it could use a little more care. The shower had plenty of hot water, but our air conditioner was noisy. Parking is available for R$ 20 per night. The bus station is just across the street, and the airport in Porto Alegre is about a 25 minute drive away. For our budget and purpose, Hotel Continental was a good choice.

The breakfast was delicious, but the room was a disaster. It was lit by just one LED lamp, and the window faced a wall, making the room even darker. I remember booking a room with a city view, not a wall, and I paid the highest rate but got the worst room. The bathroom smelled moldy.

The room was dirty, with no fridge, and the bathroom felt antiquated with a dreadful shower. They'd pushed two single beds together to make a double. The miserable waiters set the tone for the whole place. Only stay here if substandard accommodation is what you like.

The food was decent, and the Wi-Fi worked. But there was a loud buzzing in every room, like a high-voltage transformer, and earplugs were necessary for me to sleep. Moving rooms didn't help. I figured out that removing the card from the holder by the door cuts the power and stops the buzzing. To keep power for the fridge, TV, charger, and a lamp, plug in an extension cord at the fridge first, then pull the card. That outlet stays powered.
