Vila da Falesia

We spent nine perfect days here, and the little house looked just like the photos. It's lovely and cozy, and really made us feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped, with new pots, and the mattress is excellent. The owners, Saulo and Jack, are wonderful and always ready to help with whatever we needed. Even the rainy day we had was lovely, relaxing in the hammock. I've been to Corumbau three times, and I'll definitely stay at Vila da Falesia again on my next visit.

Corumbau itself has very few shops, badly potholed roads, and limited lodging, so bring everything you'll need. The kitchen at Vila Falésia is very well equipped, which makes a big difference. Jaqueline and her husband were great hosts. The cottages are rustic but nicely finished and decorated, with a pretty garden and parking right outside. The internet worked well, the shower was hot, and the air conditioning was very cold. It's a complete and comfortable place to stay.

Corumbau gets a 10 from me, and the value here is unbeatable. The room and location were both excellent, close to the central beach but farther from the tip, which makes it feel more secluded. Saulo and his wife are great and help with everything.

The inn has a lovely fisherman's-house theme, but still feels like a modern home, with a great bed and linens, split air conditioning, a hot shower, and a small kitchen that comes in handy. A microwave and towels for the beach would have been useful. There aren't many nearby restaurants or bakeries, so having that kitchen matters. The inn itself is beautiful. Corumbau's unspoiled beaches are incredible, though getting there is hard and far, and you'll need a good car. There are no gas stations in town, so fill up on the road. A small shop sells gasoline by the liter for R$8. The drive was tough, but once we reached the empty beaches, with not a footprint in the sand, all the hassles felt small. It was worth it.
