It’s okay, and considering the total cost with the train trips, flight, taxi and stay, it was good value. But having the same breakfast every day gets old when you want a change. The hygiene is what bothers me most. The cleaning staff seem to do as they please and avoid the work. Today one told me she wasn’t cleaning my room because someone else would. Nobody had been there yet, and it made no sense to say another person would come. That was cheeky. If you’re already in my area, just clean it instead of giving me nonsense. And what’s going on with the towels?...

Praia hotel? You’ve got to be kidding. Latam cancelled our flight and sent us here, so we had to stay in this awful place. The staff were lazy and completely unhelpful. The woman at reception didn’t speak English or Spanish. Room 501 was the worst I’ve ever had. The walls were dirty, there were no sheets, and it hadn’t been cleaned properly. I had to ask for sheets, and they gave me ones with holes. It was a terrible experience. Please don’t stay here if you want to enjoy your holiday.

There were only two beds in the room we booked for three. I spoke to management four times. They brought in a mattress and put it on the floor, then, after I raised it again, stacked a second mattress on top. It took about four hours from speaking to management to getting both mattresses. For me, that’s a no-go. Poor standard.

The crew were very good and the location is excellent, but the beds weren’t good and the hot water didn’t work. The food was around 6/10. It’s okay for one night, though it probably won’t work well for someone staying longer.
