Casa Geranio

The fresh breakfast each morning was probably our favorite part. We were spoiled with fruit, cold cuts, sweets, cheese, fresh juice, and plenty more. The views were amazing too, and the owners checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Our suite with the private pool was beautiful and cozy, with a soft, comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom and shower, great water pressure, instant hot water, and fantastic-smelling amenities. Up on the Santa Teresa hillside, it felt secure, with a fob for entry and a security guard station at night. Surrounded by nature, it was very quiet for sleeping. I only wish it were a bit closer to central Santa Teresa, though getting an Uber was quick. This was our second-to-last stop on our honeymoon tour, and I’m so glad we stayed. We’d definitely come again.

We felt right at home thanks to our incredibly friendly and welcoming host. We loved Casa Geranio. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with a breathtaking view across the city. A truly special place to stay in Rio!

The staff were very polite, though they didn’t speak English. Our room was very clean, room service came every day, and the bed was really comfortable. We loved getting up early for the city views and breakfast, with the best company showing up to eat banana. Breakfast was clearly prepared with care. I especially liked the fresh fruit, juice, scrambled eggs, and even the plates and mugs that matched the hotel’s theme. You can tell the owners care about the little details, and they make all the difference. We hope to return to casa Geranio when we visit Rio again.
