The location works well if you want to walk to Hotpark. There are plenty of shops, markets, and restaurants along the main street, and the bars have good prices. The supermarkets, though, are ridiculously expensive, so I’d recommend arriving with your shopping already done. The room, rented through Airbnb, was clean and had all the household utensils. There’s a gym, and the covered parking is free. The pools were the real problem. They smelled very strongly of chlorine and were dirty, and when you wanted to use them, they were under maintenance. That work could be done at a time when fewer guests are around. The children’s area shuts down early, I think around 5 p.m. Hotpark’s bus runs along the street all the time, even during the night, which could bother light sleepers. If you want to save money and go to hotpark, it’s worth it. For comfort and leisure, it isn’t.

I recommend caldo da Simone, Restaurante Liffe burguer and Grill, and Samsara. The resort hotel itself is simply sensational. The facilities are impeccable and very well cared for, with spacious, comfortable areas designed for rest and leisure. Excellent service, exemplary organization, and a peaceful atmosphere really make a difference. One important thing to know: the hotel has no direct access to the river. You can only reach it through Park Veredas. That doesn’t spoil the stay, but it’s essential to know so expectations are clear. I think the best experience is to rent from the owners on AIRBNB, preferably from Sunday to Friday. None of the hotels in Rio Quente are good when they have a lot of guests. There are great, well-furnished, well-maintained flats, and there are others that are really bad. Guests need to research carefully before paying for a booking. I come here often and really like veredas do Rio Quente. I feel sorry for guests who haven’t had good experiences.
