Villa Vaz Hotel

The location and room size were good, and the air conditioning, elevator, and service were good too. The TV was just okay. But the bathroom had no toilet seat, rusty fixtures, a leak, and no hand towel. Breakfast was really bad, and the electric shower was awful.

The reception area is beautiful, and the staff were polite, but breakfast was only so-so. For what I paid for the night, I expected better hygiene. The bathroom was dirty, the shower was really grimy, and the pillowcase was covered in hair, as if it hadn't been changed. For that price, they let the place down.

The room service was awful. I had to go downstairs from the third floor to get everything myself. They also had to move me because my first room smelled really bad and none of the remotes worked. The staff were rude, and I had to check in twice because they hadn't done it properly the first time. The bed in my room was hard, the blankets smelled bad, and the TV remote barely worked. It took me about 15 minutes just to change the channel.

The hotel has a great setup, it's clean, and the location is good. My problem was with two employees on the night shift on 16/01/26 at 19:00. An order from café pequi arrived with the room number on it, but they didn't get up or put down their phones to call the room and let us know. It sat there for hours, so the food went cold and the juice got warm. They wouldn't give us ice or heat the food in the microwave. They blamed the owner, saying he wouldn't let them use even a basic microwave. Their laziness and lack of urgency were a 10. Worst of all, they didn't even apologize. They acted as if they were right and then played the victim. People like that don't know how to serve customers, talk things through, or solve problems. They shouldn't be in business. If the owner doesn't deal with this, he'll lose me as a customer, the people we recommend the place to, and others who are sure to run into the same situation. The woman working the night shift on 15/01/26 was completely different. She spoke warmly about the owner and showed me the beautiful furniture he makes, with a sparkle in her eyes. She treated me politely and smiled. I'm sharing this mainly so the owner knows what's happening and is careful about who he hires. He's spent a lot on a great setup, but the front line team is ruining it.
