The staff were really nice, and I liked the beds and shower. For the location, it's a cheap hotel, though the building feels old and could use maintenance. My street-facing room was close to restaurants and bars, where people partied loudly until around 3 am, so I couldn't sleep before it stopped. If you're here for work, don't count on breakfast starting when they say: it was listed as 6:30 am, but when I arrived at 6:40, the staff were still setting everything up.

The location is great, right on the square, with food available 24 hours. During Carnival, an Uber to the old city was 20 - 25R$, about half the regular taxi price. The room was basic but comfortable. The air conditioning was noisy, though they offered to move me to another room without any fuss. WiFi was a little slow when I could connect.
