The food and service were excellent, and the staff make you feel like family. This beautiful, unusual boutique hotel is a hidden treasure in central Salvador, just minutes from the main attractions. The rooms have their own character, with bohemian, eclectic decor. Menta greets you with a friendly meow. Don't pass up a chance to stay, whether it's one night or five days. Highly recommended from a seasoned traveler who's been around the world.

The breakfast was easily the best part of this bed and breakfast. They serve lots of traditional foods, and when I said I was vegan, they adapted many of the dishes for me. It's the best breakfast we've tried in Brazil so far. The rooms are clean and simple, and the place is in a quiet part of Salvador, very close to the beach. The people at the Pousada are lovely and happy to help.

Stay at Casa Petunia if you want a taste of the warm hospitality of the bahianos. The staff are amazing and make you feel right at home. Get ready for one of the most amazing breakfasts of your life. It's also very safe and clean, right by the beach and the lighthouse. Recommended 200%.
