Pousada Corais da Barra

The location was perfect, right by Shopping Barra and one street above Praia do Farol. There are markets, pharmacies, bars, and plenty more nearby. We spent New Year's Eve here, and although my wife and I felt a little unsure at first, the welcome we got was wonderful. All the women on staff were so friendly, polite, attentive, and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. It's simple, but more than enough, with fresh tapioca every day and a choice of what to eat. The room had a minibar, a small wardrobe with hangers, air conditioning, TV, a bed, a little table, and a pouf. Everything was practical. The room and bathroom were cleaned every day. When we came back, everything smelled fresh, with clean towels and a dry bathroom. We'd worried about comments on the bathroom being small, but the size itself wasn't an issue. The shower door was probably the main thing. In our room it didn't get in the way much for someone with small hips, but with 115 cm hips it was a little tight 😂. Still, it didn't spoil our stay. Thanks for hosting us. If we come back, we'll definitely stay here again.

What made our stay at Pousada Corais da Barra special was the care from dona Rose and all the staff. They welcomed us with unusual kindness, paid attention to the details, and were always ready to help with anything we asked. It's a simple pousada, but it gave us just what we needed: comfort, care, and a lovely feeling of being at home. The location made everything easy, with the beach, restaurants, and outings all nearby. We left feeling grateful and at ease.

The service was really good, and breakfast was great. The room had a strong smell, though, and the bathroom was very small.
