It's a short walk, under five minutes, to the main square in the historic center. The rooms are basic but have what you need, and felt secure and comfortable. The service was excellent, they really looked after us.

The location is great, and the staff are very friendly and keen to help. I'd stay again. The AC in the rooms could use some improvement, and toiletries should be provided.

I was pretty happy with my stay. It's family friendly and well placed for exploring the traditional tourist area of Pelourinho. The town felt surprisingly safe. Locals were respectful toward tourists, and there was police around everywhere.

The neighborhood is colorful, and everything in cidade alta is just minutes away on foot. Even during carnaval, the place was quiet enough to get away from the crowds. Staff were friendly.

For me, this was the best place to stay during the Bahian carnival.
