Quadradíssimo Apart-hotel

The only annoying part was having to leave the building and walk two blocks to Hotel Quadrado for breakfast. It made me a bit lazy, haha, though that’s balanced out by the parking being at the Apart. We were on a motorcycle, so fitting it into a space meant for cars was no concern at all. Our room was excellent. The bed was great, with bedside tables, outlets and light controls close at hand. There was a good TV, large wardrobes, a minibar, sink, microwave and even an induction cooktop. The bathroom was very good too. The room was nicely decorated, and I didn’t feel like going out. The receptionists were very helpful. Most of the other guests seemed to be couples between 20 and 40.

Breakfast is served at the main location, Hotel Quadrado. The apart-hotel itself is well located, with well-equipped rooms and new furniture. One annoying thing is that there’s no staff member on site around the clock, so you have to manage on your own if something comes up. And if you request a double bed, check it with the receptionist at check-in, since they often push two singles together.

The rooms are clean and have the basic equipment, and the accommodations are good. But receptionists are only there now and then. If you need someone, you have to call the other hotel, about 800 meters away, and wait for them to come over. Some employees could also use better preparation for dealing with guests. Our first night felt pretty helpless. Another guest arrived at 4:35 in the morning making a racket and didn’t stop until 5:30. We tried to call, but the phone number provided was no longer Hotel Quadrado’s number.

The best part of breakfast was the view of the city through the big glass windows, and there were some good options to choose from. It’s a simple hotel, but cozy, with the calm and charm of a small town. The rooms are basic, though they do have TVs and air conditioning.
