Staff speak English, and the pousada has direct beach access. It’s a lovely place. The beach is a protected nesting area for sea turtles.

Breakfast had a nice range, starting with fruit and followed by breads, delicious homemade cakes, omelets, tapioca and very fresh coffee with milk. We felt at home here and would love to return with the family. It was a lovely stay for me, my husband and my pet, thanks to Dona Inês and Seu Isaque. The inn is a cozy place to unwind among nature and fresh air, with everything very clean. The crisp white bed linen even smelled perfumed, and the bathroom had been freshly washed and was spotless. It’s also Brazilian-owned, which is rare in SM Gostoso.

The location right on the beach is excellent, and Isaac and Inês, the owners, are friendly. They’re around all the time, and I think they live on the property. But I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The photos and videos are old, and the inn no longer looks that way. It seems like it once had potential, but now it’s badly maintained. The prices are absurdly high: they charged 18 reais for a long-neck Heineken, while a 600 ml beer on the beach costs 20. For what they charge, there are plenty of better options in the area. Rustic shouldn’t mean letting a place fall almost into neglect.

Breakfast overlooking the sea was lovely, and at night you can sit by the beach, have a drink and chat without worrying, since it’s a quiet beach. The whole stay was wonderful. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, and the rooms set among nature felt peaceful. I slept well in a comfortable bed, liked the spacious bathroom and found the service wonderful.
