Duetto Motel - Adults Only

Top-notch.

The low price was the only thing in its favor. We booked the Luxo suite with a tub, but the room was extremely cramped, the bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were hard. The TV was awful, with very few channels and poor picture quality. Some channels were too dark, others much too bright, so watching anything was impossible. We decided against using the tub after reading other reviews because we were worried it might not be clean. Then the suite key broke from the inside, even though we hadn't forced it or mishandled it. It was already cracked. Staff had to open the door from outside with a spare key, and we spent the rest of our stay with the door unlocked, which left us uneasy and feeling unsafe. Breakfast was another letdown: one hard roll with butter, coffee with milk, and a few saltine crackers. When we left, we were also charged for the broken key, even though it was clearly damaged beforehand. We don't recommend Motel Duetto and don't plan to return.

We paid almost 200 reais for suite 12, and the hydro tub didn't work. The room was really small for what the listing and website showed. I'm a person with a disability, and the hydro tub was a big reason I chose it. The massage function, which would have been especially useful for me, didn't work either, even after we called twice as they asked us to. Breakfast was poor too: two hard rolls, cold coffee, and cold milk. The TV had few channels. They still charged us for the tub's foaming soap, then gave us a 16-real discount after all the embarrassment. I thought that was completely wrong. I'll be taking the motel to small claims court. I don't recommend it.

The shower was good, but the rest of the room was a disappointment. We booked a room with a pole dance setup through a motel app, and found only a tiny platform. There was barely room to move without kicking the table or misstepping, and there was no pole at all. When my boyfriend called reception, the woman said we were supposed to bring the pole ourselves. We tried to cancel, but she said the manager had checked and wouldn't approve it because the site supposedly disclosed this. Which site? We booked through a dedicated motel app, searched all over it, and couldn't find that information there. We didn't want an argument, so we let it go. There was no blanket, one pillowcase was extremely old and gross, and the TV was snowy. Several buttons did nothing when we pressed them.
