The location is perfect. It’s a good hotel, and the staff are always polite and willing to help.

It was a clean, quiet, and safe place, and the service was accommodating. Breakfast was complete. I had trouble with the TV at first, but once someone showed me how to find the channels, it was all good. The funny thing was, I didn’t speak Portuguese!

The location is very nice, in one of Sao Paulo’s safer neighborhoods, and the Wi-Fi was good. Breakfast was pretty standard, though, and the rooftop pool was dirty. The hotel had recently been refurbished, but the work was poor: there was no lock at all, so I couldn’t keep my windows closed. Also, no one speaks English.

Breakfast runs from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Merak Hotel has eight floors, and I stayed on the second in room 21. It was a triple room facing the street, with a refrigerator and a large bathroom. There’s someone at the front desk around the clock.
