JW Marriott Hotel Sao Paulo

The 12th-floor VIP lounge was a lovely place to end a day of sightseeing, with appetizers, soup, wine, beer, soft drinks, and a calm view over the Pinheiros river. Breakfast there was quite light, though, so we usually went downstairs to Neto, where our booking included the daily buffet and made-to-order Western, Brazilian, and Asian dishes. Dhonne was always cheerful and attentive. We were also grateful for night manager Richard. Our flight arrived very late, close to the midnight check-in cutoff, and he responded quickly and made the arrival feel easy. The lobby has a beautiful look and a pleasant fragrance. Everyone seemed upbeat and glad to be there. Our room was spacious, had a great view, strong WiFi, and the amenities we expected from a five-star hotel. We spent five nights at the JW Marriott Sao Paolo on our first trip to Brazil, and it was a wonderful start. GRU was about a 45-minute drive away, with a one-way fare of R$155-R$192/CA$40-$50. Uber was easy to find, quick to arrive, and fairly cheap for getting around. Parque da Cidade mall is next door, open until 10pm, with places to eat and shop and a small movie theatre. We’d happily stay here again.

The hotel is elegant and really comfortable, with spacious rooms and a little chocolate left each night. Breakfast had a huge choice and the dishes were very good. Staff were attentive and had useful suggestions for places to visit. There’s a well-equipped gym, a great pool, and food service runs 24/7. I can confirm the fries are so good!!!! It’s quite far from many attractions, but good value for the money and service.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh, high-quality ingredients, plenty of hot dishes, and a good range of Brazilian favorites alongside international choices. It felt consistently well managed. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout, helpful without hovering, and efficient from check-in onward. The rooms are modern and spacious, with comfortable furnishings and a very good bed, plus plenty of space to work or unwind. JW Marriott São Paulo gives you a high-end stay with strong service and works well for either business or a leisure trip.

The staff are attentive everywhere, from the front desk and restaurant to the spa and exec lounge. Rooms are roomy and spotless. They’re also very accommodating with early check-in or late check-out, which is especially appreciated after an 11hr flight. I always look forward to staying here!
