Dom Eco Hostel Containers

I stayed here in 2019 and it was okay: I had a private bathroom and it was off season. My experience was much worse over New Year’s 2020-2021, when I stayed in a shared room, as I have at other hostels. There was dirt everywhere. That’s about cleaning, not about being humble. Guests should help each other out, but at a minimum there should be a clean bathroom and toilet paper. I was lucky I brought my own. The bathroom was dirty whenever I needed it, and it was too small for everyone to use without any limit on the number of people. There was nowhere to hang clothes or towels. I complained, but was told, “that’s just how hostels work.” The place was disorganized, with no signs posted to explain rules for shared use and getting along. The laundry tub was broken and still hadn’t been fixed when I left. The bathroom door was also broken, though that was repaired two days after I arrived. The air conditioner was badly positioned, the hostel bar was closed, and the bed linen smelled unpleasant. I especially wouldn’t recommend it for children or older people. I hope things improve for future guests. The place is beautiful, has a nice setup and concept, and is close enough to walk to the beach.
