Pousada Cachoeira

When I arrived, the place didn't look like the pictures I had seen online. I'd already paid the full amount in advance, but the rooms are small, and the one I was shown had no balcony and poor ventilation. The bed was uncomfortable, and the property is much smaller than it appears in the photos. I decided not to stay and found another place nearby. The photos don't really reflect any of the rooms. I was treated very well at reception, though, and this isn't a complaint about the service. They refunded 50%, saying I hadn't been allowed to choose a room when booking, so I had to accept the one they assigned. I didn't argue and just accepted the 50% refund. I wouldn't recommend it. The experience taught me it's better not to book in advance. Arrive on Friday, and you'll find several places in better condition so you can choose where to stay.

The waterfall trail was easy to access and beautiful. We didn't swim because we weren't prepared. Renan was attentive from the moment we arrived until we left. He checked us in, showed us our room, and explained the trail. The room was cozy for a couple looking for a quieter stay, and falling asleep to the sound of the nearby stream was lovely. Breakfast was generous, with options for every taste. We had steak for dinner, which was delicious and enough for two. I think Maycon is in charge of the kitchen; we met him near the end of our stay. We were there for just one day, so the visit was short, but wonderful. If we return to Serra Negra, we'll stay at this inn again.

A peaceful place with a lovely breakfast, a pool, green spaces, and an easy-to-reach waterfall. The welcome at reception was wonderful too, so warm and hospitable. I already want to come back.

The breakfast was fresh and clearly made with care, and we loved the pool and the lovely green space around it. It felt like a little paradise to unwind and recharge. My husband and I stayed from Thursday to Sunday and were warmly welcomed by Renan, a perfect host, and Maicon, who was just as kind and friendly. Everything was well organized, and our room was very clean and smelled great. We loved our stay and will definitely be back soon. 🙏🏼🥰
