Pousada Mirante do Vale

We cooked our own meals in the shared kitchen and barbecue area, and there’s also a pool. The inn is near the village but outside it, so it suited us well for a bit more nature and quiet. The stay was simple but cozy, just what we expected. The shower water is heated with solar energy, which is a nice idea.

The bed was really comfortable, and the staff were great. It’s set away from the village center, which makes it a good spot for resting and being close to nature. There’s no TV in the rooms, though I think one would make them feel cozier. Ask how the shower works before you settle in, since switching between its solar and electric settings can be confusing.

Lady and Havi gave us such a warm welcome, and we’d definitely come back. The hostel is in a pleasant, safe area near the main shops and sights. There’s even a place to work, facing the lovely garden at Largo Félix, and you can see the mountains from the bedroom windows. I highly recommend it.

Havi, Carlos and Janice were so friendly, thanks to all of you, and a little kiss for Estrela! The hostel is in a great location, and the rooms, bathrooms and common area are all well cared for and in good shape.
